Developing an Immersive Virtual Reality police Training Prototype

Virtual Reality, Training, High-Fidelity Prototypes

In 2022, the teams at PUSH Studio and Matters at Play collaborated to develop a virtual reality (VR) training prototype centered around law enforcement’s investigative response to gender-based violence. The prototype immerses officers in reality-based scenarios where they can practice interviewing techniques through active dialogue in VR. The goal of the prototype is to offer a simulated space to build victim-centered, trauma-informed inves=tigative skills that can then be effectively translated to real world settings. Scenarios and dialogues specifically focus on reducing bias, recognizing the effects of trauma, and building empathy within a social justice-oriented framework.

Redesigning a Competitive Intelligence Platform with a Focus on User Experience

Artificial Intelligence, High-Fidelity Prototypes

In the competitive intelligence market, 11.2 Venture’s FutureSightIQ (FSIQ) is a standout product. Using artificial intelligence, specifically, natural language processing, FSIQ is instrumental in helping organizations anticipate and respond to incoming competitive trends. By presenting detailed and complex information in dashboards and highlighting key metrics, analysts are able to explore and monitor information within FSIQ in an interactive, dynamic way. Using the initial findings from user research studies, the PUSH team pursued a series of activities to define the user experience and develop a fresh, updated design that focuses on user needs and priorities, while highlighting the strengths of the FSIQ platform.

Creating An innovative experience for Prospective students

Virtual Reality, Student Tours

The Jarvis School of Computing and Digital Media traditionally offered in-person tours to showcase its resources and labs to prospective students. However, with the COVID-19 pandemic and space restrictions, these tours were limited in availability. To address this challenge, the PUSH team was tasked with creating an online 3D interactive virtual tour that could be launched on demand. The team conducted research and user testing to create a personalized, informative, guided, and entertaining tour experience. The deliverable includes a 3D virtual tour with voiceover and pop-ups that can be personalized by the user.
